He discussed his seven no-hit innings from Friday night while demonstrating how he throws his pitches. He is currently 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 14 innings while only giving up three hits. Garrett Regan is a Senior first baseman for the Oklahoma City University Stars, currently ranked #3 in the NAIA and leading the Sooner Athletic Conference. Garrett is batting .366 with six home runs and 39 RBI. He was drafted in the 50th round out of high school. The Stars have a key matchup at Lubbock Christian this weekend.

Phil Stanton of College Baseball Insider has an excellent interview with West Virginia shortstop Jedd Gyorko. He finished last season with a .421 batting average, eight homers, and 58 RBI. He played this past summer in the Cape Cod Baseball League where he hit .323 with five homers and 18 RBI as he was named a CCBL All-Star and Baseball America’s fourth best prospect in the league. They discuss the upcoming 2010 season for the Yellow Jackets. Skole and Plagman also discuss how important their experience in the Cape Cod Baseball league was to their development and how they got the nickname of Bash Brothers.

He is the younger brother of current Florida State junior outfielder/pitcher Mike McGee. Stephen states that one of the reasons he decided to head to Florida State was the chance to play with his brother which he did for two seasons of high school ball.
Florida State Sports Information Student Assistant Ultima Rogers continues his series of interviews with FSU baseball players today with Rafael Lopez. He is a redshirt-junior who spent his redshirt freshman season with Boston College before transferring to Indian River Community College. He made the transition at FSU to the catching position last season and had his ups and downs.
