College Baseball Daily Top 25 (2/23)

CBDonWhite3Virginia remains No. 1 in the new College Baseball Daily Top 25 rankings, after winning all four games this weekend in Charleston, South Carolina.

No. 2 Florida hosted the no. 13 Miami Hurricanes and took two out three from the Canes. No. 3 Texas Christian University traveled to no. 16 Arizona State and defeated the Sun Devils at home to take the series 2 games to 1. Around The Horn (2/20-2/22)

KevinOSullivanMoundThis weekend brought us some pretty favorable series between some pretty high ranked teams. We will be doing some rearranging of our College Baseball Daily Top 25 tonight, that is for sure.

Series of the Weekend

We will start in Orlando, Florida where the no. 7 UCLA Bruins and the no. 17 North Carolina Tar Heels traveled to play a three game series after inclement weather cancelled the series in Chapel Hill. Rust Belt Preview Week Two

Winter is still howling in the Rust Belt as teams head out for week two of college baseball. With colder air plunging into the Deep South schedule adjustments and cancellations have been announced. Milwaukee had a three game series with Louisville cancelled and UIC’s series with Vanderbilt was also cancelled while Michigan will visit Savannah, Georgia, to play Tennessee Tech in a three-game series this weekend. The Wolverines were supposed to play Liberty, St John’s and East Carolina at the Keith LeClair Classic in Greenville, North Carolina, but weather and travel issues forced the schedule change.
The schedule doesn’t have many teams facing power conference opponents, a few match-ups bear watching. Continue reading Rust Belt Preview Week Two
