Arkansas Pine Bluff releases 2013 Schedule

2012 CBD Mid-Major Poll (May 28th)

Purdue (44-12) ends the 2012 regular season as the #1 Mid-Major. The Boilermakers will make their first NCAA appearance since 1987 and will host (Gary, Indiana) a regional as announced Sunday. Purdue went 3-0 on their way to winning the Big 10 tourney title with a win over Ohio St and two wins over Indiana including a 6-5 win in the title game. Read the rest of this entry »

Alabama State releases 2012 Schedule

The Alabama State University baseball team released its 2012 baseball schedule, a 54-game regular season slate which includes 22 home contests at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex as the program will play its first full season on campus since 1996. Read the rest of this entry »

2011 MLB Draft News and Notes for August 7th

The MLB Signing Deadline is fast approaching as all teams have until midnight on August 15th to sign their prospects or they will head to college. Here is the latest news and notes from around the country.

Bubba Starling’s career with the Nebraska Cornhuskers on the football field is on hold right now according to Huskers head football coach Bo Pelini in the Omaha-World Herald. Starling was selected by Kansas City Royals with the fifth overall pick and is being advised by Scott Boras. If he does not sign with the Royals, Starling will get back on the practice field with the Nebraska football program and will not be able to sign with a MLB team until the 2014 MLB Draft.  Read the rest of this entry »

Mervyl Melendez named head coach at Alabama State
