Charleston, S.C. – Ten teams which won at least 35 games last season and seven that appeared in the NCAA postseason will be part of The Citadel’s 2014 baseball schedule, head coach Fred Jordan announced on Wednesday.

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University baseball head coach Billy Jones announced his team’s 2014 schedule on Monday. The 56-game regular-season slate is perhaps the most ambitious in program history with 15 games against teams that advanced to postseason play last season (including two College World Series participants) and 17 of the 29 non-conference contests featuring opponents from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Southeastern Conference and Big Ten. Hello college baseball fans. Let me start my first blog by giving you a little background information on myself. My name is Ty Zupcic, and I am a redshirt senior outfielder on the Appalachian State University baseball team. Yes, the school that beat Michigan a few years back on the football field. I am majoring in journalism with a minor in leadership studies and plan on graduating next spring. Baseball has been a part of my life ever since I was born. We continue the list today at number 99 with UNC Greensboro junior RHP Max Povse from Green Hope High School and Cary, North Carolina. He was a four varsity letterwinner at Green Hope High School and was drafted in the 42nd round selection by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2011 MLB First-Year Player Draft where he won all-conference honors as a senior. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A three-run rally in the bottom of the eighth inning erased a 4-3 deficit as the Elon Phoenix eliminated the UNC Wilmington Seahawks from the Charlotteville Regional by a 6-4 score on Sunday afternoon.
The win lifted the maroon and gold to Sunday’s regional final against sixth-ranked Virginia. Elon will need to defeat Virginia on Sunday and again on Monday to advance to the Super Regionals. Continue reading
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – Corey Dick and Matt Keeler collected three hits apiece and UNCW ended the game with a triple play as the Seahawks eliminated Army with a 9-5 win on Saturday at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional at Davenport Field.
