2013 Patriot League Preseason Coaches Poll

PatriotLeagueLogo.jpgCENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Army baseball team was picked first in the Patriot League preseason poll which was released on Wednesday. The Black Knights earned five first-place votes and finished tied with Holy Cross atop the preseason listing, which was compiled by a vote of the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.

Army and Holy Cross, whom Army defeated in three games to claim the 2012 Patriot League tournament championship, both accumulated 45 points to tie for first in the preseason poll. The Crusaders collected six first-place votes. Continue reading 2013 Patriot League Preseason Coaches Poll

Army set to host the New York Yankees

Holy Cross releases 2013 Schedule

Navy releases 2013 Schedule

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy baseball head coach Paul Kostacopoulos has announced the 2013 schedule. A season-opening series at Norfolk State, a return to the annual Freedom Classic in Kinston, N.C., and a trip to Florida for the RussMatt Invitational highlight Navy’s non-conference schedule. Bucknell Rounds out Coaching Staff

LEWISBURG, Pa. – First-year Bucknell baseball head coach Scott Heather was promoted this past summer after eight years as an assistant with the Bison. On Friday, he announced the remainder of his coaching staff. Two-year assistant Jason Neitz was elevated to the top assistant position, while Patrick Rose, a four-year letterwinner on the baseball team at Cal Santa Barbara, and former Bucknell player B.J. Bucknell names Scott Heather as Head Coach

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Following a comprehensive national search, Bucknell director of athletics and recreation John Hardt announced on Monday that Scott Heather will succeed the retiring Gene Depew as the head coach of the Bison baseball program. Heather has spent the last eight years as an assistant coach at Bucknell, helping the Bison to a pair of Patriot League Tournament titles and NCAA appearances.
