Toledo releases 2014 Schedule

CoryMeeToledoTOLEDO, OH – The Toledo baseball team will compete in 57 games over the course of its 2014 campaign, head coach Cory Mee announced on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Highlighting the Rockets’ slate will be four matchups against three teams that advanced to the 2013 College World Series and a total of seven contests against squads that participated in the 2013 NCAA Regionals. Central Michigan releases 2014 Schedule

JordanDeanCMUMount Pleasant, Mich. – The Central Michigan baseball program announced its 2014 schedule Thursday, one that features 19 home games, five home Mid-American Conference series and the fourth annual Clash at Comerica versus in-state foe Michigan State.

“Anytime you can have five home MAC series is a benefit to our program,” head coach Steve Jaksa said. “We love playing at home. Its an environment that we like and our fans enjoy as well. Western Michigan releases 2014 Schedule

WMUCelebrationKALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan baseball team released its 2014 schedule Monday, Nov. 18. Highlights include four home Mid-American Conference series, home & home pairings with Michigan State, Northwestern and Valparaiso, as well as road contests at Louisville, Michigan and Notre Dame. The Broncos will play the Detroit Tigers Prospect team for the third year in a row at Joker Marchant Stadium as part of the annual Florida trip. Ohio releases 2014 Schedule

OUvWesternMichATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio University baseball team announced its 2014 schedule on Monday. The 53-game slate features 23 home games, 24 Mid-American Conference contests and five matchups against teams that competed in the 2013 NCAA Championship.

“I am excited about our upcoming 2014 schedule as it will challenge us early with a trip to Western Carolina and a pair of games against regional caliber teams in UNC-Wilmington and Liberty,” said second-year head coach Rob Smith. “We will also see some exciting midweek match ups with Ohio State and a home game against Pittsburgh who is now in the ACC.” Continue reading Ohio releases 2014 Schedule

Bowling Green releases 2014 Schedule

BowlingGreenPileBOWLING GREEN, Ohio—Head baseball coach Danny Schmitz has announced the 2014 schedule. The Falcons, who are coming off a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2013, will begin their MAC Championship defense on February 14.

Miami (OH) names Danny Hayden as Head Coach

Kent State names Jeff Duncan as Head Coach

JeffDuncanJeff Duncan, former associate head coach at Purdue, was named the new head baseball coach at Kent State on Tuesday, as announced by Kent State Director of Athletics, Joel Nielsen.

“One year removed from the College World Series, this head coaching position was very attractive and it was evident throughout the search,” said Nielsen. “In no particular order, we set out looking for someone that could coach and motivate our current players and incoming class, a dynamic recruiter, a person familiar with successful college baseball in the North, a serious commitment to academics and a good role model. Needless to say, we’re excited to introduce Jeff Duncan to the Kent State community, along with his wife Lauren and son Bryce, and I’m looking forward to building on our success. LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma State earned its first NCAA Tournament win in four years Saturday as the third-seeded Cowboys advanced in the NCAA Louisville Regional with a 7-3 win over fourth-seeded Bowling Green in an elimination game at Jim Patterson Stadium.
