Top 100 Countdown: 78. Tyler Skulina (Kent State)

Checking in at number 78 is Kent State junior RHP Tyler Skulina. The 6’6 235 pound righty hails from Strongsville, Ohio and attended Walsh Jesuit High School. He went a perfect 26-0 in his high school career while being named a first team All-American in 2009 and honorable mention in 2010. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 46th round but decided to head to the University of Virginia. Read the rest of this entry »

Toledo releases 2013 Schedule

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo baseball program will compete in 56 games over the course of its 2013 campaign, Head Coach Cory Mee announced on Friday, Dec. 7. Fifteen of the contests will take place at the friendly confines of Scott Park. The Rockets were 13-7 in home contests a season ago and sport an impressive 82-50 (.621) ledger at the corner of Parkside Blvd. and Hill Ave. over the last seven seasons. Kent State releases 2013 Schedule

The Golden Flashes look to continue their success from a record-breaking 2012 campaign as they face a similar schedule in 2013. The 57-game lineup includes an opening weekend against fellow NCAA Tournament qualifier UNC Wilmington and takes the Flashes to nine different states throughout the season. Ball State releases 2013 Schedule

Ball State names Dustin Glant as Assistant Coach

Central Michigan releases 2013 Schedule

MOUNT PLEASANT – The Central Michigan baseball program released its 2013 schedule Wednesday afternoon, one that features 17 games at Theunissen Stadium.

Miami (OH) releases 2013 Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio — A pair of trips to Greenville, S.C. and home-and-home series with local rivals Indiana, Dayton, Xavier and Cincinnati highlight the 2013 Miami Baseball schedule, head coach Dan Simonds announced today. Miami will host 20 games at McKie Field, including the league series against Kent State and Miami for the first time in three years.

Central Michigan extends Steve Jaksa through 2016 Season

Northern Illinois adds Tom Carcione and Todd Coryell to Coaching Staff

DeKALB, Ill. – Head baseball coach Ed Mathey, entering his 11th season at Northern Illinois, announced the addition of two assistant coaches in Tom Carcione and Todd Coryell. Carcione returns to NIU (2007-08) after a stint as interim and Head Coach at Division II Metro State and as manager of the Ottawa Rapidz, while Coryell comes from Western Illinois and returns to the Mid-American Conference, having coached at Eastern Michigan under his father, Roger.
