Ball State releases 2015 Schedule

Ball State’s baseball team, under the direction of head coach Rich Maloney, has announced its 2015 schedule.

“We are excited about the upcoming season and competing against so many outstanding programs,” Maloney said. “Our non-conference schedule will be foreboding in playing UNC-Wilmington, Kentucky, Elon, Coastal Carolina, West Virginia, Dartmouth, Illinois twice, Indiana, Purdue twice, Northwestern and Maine. All of those programs have recently won their conference, played in NCAA tournament or have a storied tradition. We are doing this in hopes of preparing our team for the 27 game grind of MAC play. Toledo releases 2015 Schedule

CoryMeeToledo_thumb.jpgTOLEDO, OH – UT head coach Cory Mee announced the 2015 baseball schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The Rockets will compete in 56 games including the Coastal Carolina Invitational on March 6-9.

The Invite will take place at Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, and CCU. Toledo opens the tournament with a showdown against Michigan State on March 6 and a matchup against Michigan the following day. Continue reading

2015 Miami (OH) Baseball Schedule Released

MiamiOHOXFORD, Ohio – Miami University baseball head coach Danny Hayden has announced the schedule for the 2015 season, his second at the helm. The schedule features 21 games at McKie Field at Hayden Park where the team compiled a 12-9 record in route to a Mid-American Conference East Division title last season.

The Red and White will plays its first 18 games on the road starting with a tournament in Starkville, Miss. on Feb. 13-15, the opponents in the four-game tournament hosted by Mississippi State are still to be determined. The following weekend the team will take part in another tournament against USC Upstate, Pitt and host Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C. The tough slate continues the next two weekends in three-game series against two 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifiers beginning with defending Big South Champion Campbell (Feb. 27-March 1) before a trip to face South Carolina (March 6-8). The final non-conference weekend series comes at East Tennessee State on March 13-15. Continue reading

Fairfield releases 2015 Schedule

FairfieldBaseballFAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Head Coach Bill Currier has announced the 2015 baseball schedule. The Stags’ slate will feature non-league opponents from the ACC, American Athletic Conference, Big East, the CAA, and the A-10. Fairfield will also host four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) series at Alumni Diamond.

“We had tremendous success last season and we want to carry that momentum into this year,” Currier said. “We have some very tough non-league opponents to start the year, but that experience will help us as we make a run towards a return trip to the MAAC Tournament.” Continue reading


Eastern Michigan releases 2015 Schedule

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team released its schedule for the 2015 campaign, Sept. 10. The Eagles will play a 53-game schedule that includes 18 contests at Oestrike Stadium. Eastern will also open up the regular season with three-game series at Arizona, Feb. 13-15, starting off a new era of EMU baseball under first year Head Coach Mark Van Ameyde.

While winter is still in full force throughout Ypsilanti, the Eagles begin the 2014 campaign with 15-straight road contests in historically warmer climates. After kicking off the season against the Wildcats, Eastern heads to the Golden State for 10 games against three California-based foes: St. Mary’s, UC Davis and Santa Clara. Wrapping up the road trip, EMU faces Georgia State for a weekend series, March 6-8. Continue reading

Eastern Michigan to name Mark Van Ameyde as Head Coach

MarkVanAmeydeMSUCollege Baseball Daily has learned that Eastern Michigan will hire current Michigan State assistant coach Mark Van Ameyde as head coach. Van Ameyde joined the Spartans program in June 2008 as the pitching coach and was elevated as to Associate Head Coach in 2011. Before joining the Michigan State staff, he spent a season as an assistant at Eastern Michigan. He also has coaching stops at Georgetown and Detroit-Mercy. Continue reading
