MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Sophomore Nick McCully (Lakeland, Fla./Santa Fe Catholic) allowed just a bunt single in the first inning while striking out nine in the Coastal Carolina University baseball team’s (8-1) 6-0 win over George Mason (1-6) March 2 in the final game of the Baseball at the Beach Tournament at BB&T Coastal Field.

Game 1 Recap
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Preseason All-American Collin Cowgill homered twice and Sawyer Carroll added his fourth homer of the season, as the No. 17 Kentucky baseball team put the finishing touches on a sweep of a doubleheader with Butler, routing the Bulldogs 21-2, on Saturday evening at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
Cowgill, a former Kentucky High School Mr. Baseball, boosted a homer in his first at bat of the game, a two-RBI jack and later in the fifth inning, sending a solo shot soaring over the videoboard high atop the fence in left-center field. STATESBORO, Ga. – The Boston College (2-1, 0-0 ACC) baseball team dropped the final game of a three-game series to Georgia Southern (1-2, 0-0 SoCon), 18-6, Sunday afternoon at J.I. Clements Stadium.
