Charlotte releases 2015 Schedule

LorenHibbsCHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball will make at-least two pieces of program history hoping to add more as Head Coach Loren Hibbs announced the 2015 schedule on Wednesday morning. The slate calls for 56 games in all, a whopping 34 at home and 30 inside Conference USA. The one piece of history will be made on Tuesday, March 31st as the Niners will host N.C. State in Uptown Charlotte at the new BB&T Ballpark, home of the Charlotte Knights. The tilt, designated as a Niner “Green Out” with all fans encouraged to wear green that night, will be the first-ever collegiate game inside the newest minor league facility that recently hosted last year’s Triple-A National Championship game. Rice releases 2015 Schedule

A challenging slate of 54 regular season games, including 30 at Reckling Park and another two in the greater Houston area, highlight the 2015 Rice baseball schedule announced on Thursday (Oct. 17).

Rice starts the 2015 regular season at home on Feb. 13 against longtime rival Texas. The season-opening showdown with the Longhorns is the first of two sensational four-game series at Reckling Park where a Saturday double-header is scheduled between single games on Friday and Sunday. Western Kentucky releases 2015 Schedule

WKUBOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU head baseball coach Matt Myers announced the 2015 Hilltopper Baseball schedule on Tuesday morning, a slate featuring seven 2014 NCAA Regional teams, including College World Series Champion Vanderbilt, 25 home games and five Conference USA series against league powers at Nick Denes Field.

The 2015 schedule is highlighted by 13 games against seven programs that advanced to NCAA Regionals in 2014, three of which visit Bowling Green in Kentucky, Old Dominion and Rice. Midweek games against defending national champion Vanderbilt (Feb. 25) and College World Series participant Louisville (April 21) headline a difficult non-conference group of opponents that combined to go 451-325 (.581) in 2014. ECU set to name Cliff Godwin as Head Coach

LA Tech to name Greg Goff as head coach

LaTechLogo_thumb.jpgRUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Athletics Director Tommy McClelland introduced former Campbell University coach Greg Goff as the seventh head coach of the Bulldog Baseball program in a press conference on Friday morning in the Jarrell Room of the Charles Wyly Athletic Center.

Goff comes to Ruston after spending seven years as the head baseball coach at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., where he amassed an impressive record of 224-174 in his time at the helm of the Camels program, including recording three straight 40-win seasons. This past season, Goff and his team captured the Big South Tournament Championship, which led to Campbell’s first NCAA Regional appearance in 24 years. During last week’s Columbia Regional, Goff and his team defeated Conference USA’s Old Dominion for the program’s first ever win in an NCAA Regional.
