Oklahoma State releases 2014 Schedule

JoshHollidaySTILLWATER, Okla. – Five NCAA Tournament teams from last season highlight Oklahoma State’s 2014 baseball schedule, which was released today and includes 29 home games for the Cowboys at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

Next year’s OSU schedule also includes five games against Bedlam-rival Oklahoma. The Cowboys and Sooners will meet in non-conference games in Norman (April 1) and Stillwater (April 15), then will close out the regular season with The Bedlam Series May 15-17. This year’s Bedlam Series will open with a game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City before concluding with the final two games in Tulsa at ONEOK Field. Continue reading

Kansas State extends Brad Hill through 2018

BradHillKansasStateFeaturedMANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head baseball coach Brad Hill has agreed to a new five-year contract, locking in the two-time Big 12 Coach of the Year through the 2018 season, Director of Athletics John Currie announced Tuesday.

The agreement is retroactive to June 15, 2013, and extends through June 14, 2018. It replaces the five-year contract that Hill signed following the 2010 season. Hill’s base salary will increase from the $220,000 that he was scheduled to earn in the 2013-14 contract year to $265,000. Continue reading

TCU adds Zach Etheredge to Coaching Staff

TCULogoFORT WORTH – TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle has announced the addition of Zach Etheredge to the coaching staff. He will take over as the volunteer assistant.

Oklahoma set to name Pete Hughes as Head Coach; Mason takes over VT

PeterHughes_thumb.jpgVirginia Tech head coach Pete Hughes will be named the next head coach at Oklahoma according to sources close to the situation. Hughes brought the Hokies to the NCAA Tournament as they went 40-22 while hosting an NCAA Regional which included the Sooners. Hughes coached Trinity University for two seasons in 1997 and 1998 accumulating a 52-30 record there before moving on.  Continue reading


Auburn University Names Sunny Golloway as New Head Coach

SunnyGollowayHeadshotAUBURN, Ala. – Sunny Golloway has been named Auburn’s head baseball coach, Auburn Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs announced Friday. Golloway has spent the past eight seasons as head coach at the University of Oklahoma, where he led the Sooners to seven NCAA Regional berths, four NCAA Super Regionals and the 2010 College World Series.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity because I’ve always held the Auburn baseball program in very high regard,” Golloway said. “The history of the Auburn program was a huge factor in making this decision. Secondly, the Southeastern Conference is the top baseball conference in America. Being able to compete in the SEC is a challenge that we look forward to. With our location, we are in a hotbed of talent. We will be able to hit the road recruiting right away, and we look forward to recruiting the best student-athletes to represent this outstanding university.” Continue reading

Beavers bash their way into Game 3 with 21 hits against Kansas State

This time, it was a much bigger stage – with the bright TV lights of ESPN in the first inning of the second game of the Corvallis Super Regional – and the best friends ignited a hitting display of awe-inspiring proportions, belting back-to-back two-out home runs to right center field.
