2013 CBD Journal with Rhode Island’s Mike Le Bel (April 8th)

lebel_journalsHello Everyone,

Sunday. It’s the most important day of the week. Unfortunately, in our conference-opening weekend last week, we were not able to execute on Sunday. That Dayton series was tough on us as a team as we didn’t play how we expected to and the results reflected that. The beauty of baseball however, at least most of the time, is that there is always another game right around the corner. Continue reading

2013 CBD Journal with Rhode Island’s Mike Le Bel (March 21st)

lebel_journalsHello Everyone,

Pitching, defense, and timely hitting. Those three aspects of the game of baseball are what lead the Rhody Rams to a three-game sweep of Winthrop this past weekend. I really can’t express to the readers how proud I am of our team for the way we battled this weekend. There is no doubt that we did not start the season the way we had planned, but this group of guys refuses to give up. Day after day, we keep plugging away and continue to try to improve the way we play baseball. Continue reading

2013 CBD Journal with Rhode Island’s Mike Le Bel (March 11th)

lebel_journalsHello Everyone,

Rhody Baseball is on the road again. We are currently traveling in a van, captained by Sports Information Director Jodi Pontbriand, on our way to Johnson City, TN for a two-game set against East Tennessee State. CBD Journal with Mike Le Bel (Rhode Island)

lebel_journalsHello All,

This last week has been pretty trying for the Rhode Island baseball team as temperatures outside have topped out around 20 degrees, accompanied by three inches of snow and only more to come. Let me tell you this: There is nothing glamorous about attempting to field ground balls on the “rich mahogany” of East Gym. Continue reading
