Saint Louis releases 2015 Schedule

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis head baseball coach Darin Hendrickson has announced the Billikens’ 2015 schedule.

“This schedule is by far the most competitive we have had at Saint Louis” Hendrickson said. “We open with 10 tough road games. All those contests are at great venues and stadiums to energize us for the season ahead. We play projected NCAA Regional teams in Ohio State and Illinois and a vastly improved Iowa club. Rhode Island names Raphael Cerrato as Head Coach

CerratoURIWith the sudden departure of Rhode Island head coach Jim Foster to Boston College, College Baseball Daily has confirmed that the Rams will name Raphael Cerrato as the new head coach. Cerrato served as the top assistant to Foster for the past three seasons with the Rams after serving as the head coach at Division 2 power New Haven for five campaigns.

Boston College announces Former URI coach Jim Foster as Assistant

Foster, who will be the Eagles’ pitching coach, as well as work with the catchers, brings 12 years of experience to the Heights. caputo_journalHello College Baseball Fans,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday! Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, and ironically our team experienced something quite similar this past Sunday. In the first two games of the series against George Mason this past weekend, our offense ceased to put up any runs and our bats were cold. In Sundayʼs game however, we scored seven runs on 14 hits – it seemed that our bats had risen from the dead. Our pitching staff has been battling all year and giving us a bunch of quality innings so it was nice to finally put some runs up for them to work with!
