2013 Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll Released

George Washington releases 2013 Schedule

WASHINGTON – The George Washington baseball team will host 28 games at fully renovated Barcroft Park in Arlington, Va., as part of its 56-game schedule in head coach Gregg Ritchie’s debut season in 2013.

The Colonials are under the direction of a new coaching staff headed by GW alumnus, Athletic Hall of Fame inductee and former Major League Baseball player and coach Gregg Ritchie. St. Joe’s releases 2013 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s head baseball coach Fritz Hamburg has announced the Hawks’ 2013 schedule, which features 24 home games on the 52-game docket.

The 2013 season will be the second year of play at John W. Smithson Field on the Maguire Campus. The opening of the new field coincided with SJU’s first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship berth and the Hawks’ first Liberty Bell Classic title. Xavier releases 2013 Schedule

CINCINNATI – Xavier baseball head coach Scott Googins has announced the upcoming 2013 schedule for the Musketeers. There are 57 games on the schedule, including 24 Atlantic 10 games.
Xavier opens the season on the road at College of Charleston with a three-game series from Feb. 15-17. The Musketeers will play a total 10 road games before opening its home portion of the schedule on March 5 against Miami (Ohio). Read the rest of this entry »

Greg Ritchie named Head Coach at George Washington

WASHINGTON – George Washington University Director of Athletics and Recreation Patrick Nero announced today that Gregg Ritchie has been hired as GW’s new head baseball coach. A George Washington alum (’86) and GW Athletic Hall of Fame member (’99), Ritchie returns to Washington from Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates where he served as the team’s hitting coach.
