Oral Roberts Baseball reaches out to Tulsa Community

Tulsa, Okla. – The ORU baseball team has been focused on more than just baseball these days, and although the baseball season is right around the corner, Head Coach Rob Walton has his team working hard to serve the Tulsa community through various charity and outreach events.

In September the team volunteered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure-a foundation that raises awareness and funds research for breast cancer-helping raise more than $900,000 for the cause. Read the rest of this entry »

Siena visits Ronald McDonald House

Siena baseball visited the Ronald McDonald House this past weekend, moving holiday gifts and cooking a meal for families staying there. The visit is an annual one, and you can check out an exclusive video here!

Western Kentucky Lends a Hand at Salvation Army

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several members of the Western Kentucky University baseball spent time earlier this week lending a hand at the local Salvation Army.

The players assisted by washing dishes, serving food and drinks to clients, waiting tables, cleaning the soup kitchen after lunch, making food boxes for the needing and providing good company for those people eating. Read the rest of this entry »

Alabama Spreads Christmas Cheer at Sprayberry Education Center

Western Michigan participates in the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Head coach Billy Gernon and members of the bronco baseball team participated in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program at Moorsbridge Elementary School earlier this week.

Fuel Up to Play 60 (www.fueluptoplay60.com) is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to combat childhood obesity. Fuel Up to Play 60 helps students make positive changes in their schools by improving opportunities to consume nutrient-rich foods and get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Elon’s Mike Kennedy raises Money for Breast Cancer

Elon 15th year head baseball coach Mike Kennedy recently participated in the  Little Pink Houses of Hope fundraiser. He had to perform a dance routine with a current Elon student in a dancing with the stars type event. Duke Takes on Community Service Projects

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team split up into three groups to tackle several community service projects last Saturday, November 12.

“Community service is an important component of our baseball program,” said head coach Sean McNally. “I am very proud that our players have embraced this aspect of our program and have chosen to impact Duke and the surrounding Durham community in different ways this past weekend. St. Mary’s Reaches Out to the Community

Boston College participates Red Bandanna Run

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team took part in the seventh annual Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna Run on October 15 to support the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust.

Texas Tech Participates in Race For The Cure

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech baseball program was among over 8,000 participants at the 2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday morning at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
