COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Fresh off its first-ever trip to the Super Regionals and its winningest season in program history, Maryland baseball head coach John Szefc announced the 2015 schedule Thursday. The slate includes 11 games against teams that participated in the 2014 NCAA Tournament and home dates against four-time national champion Cal State Fullerton and two-time defending Big Ten champion Indiana.
Of its 56-game schedule, Maryland will play 15 games against teams with a RPI inside the top 50 from last season. The Terps will play 27 games within the friendly confines of Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium, where they complied a 21-7 record during the 2014 season. Continue reading

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team released its 2015 schedule Wednesday. The Buckeyes will play 30 home games at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium, while 15 contests are against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams.
The Northwestern Wildcats have posted their 2015 schedule which opens up with a three game tournament in Surprise, Arizona hosted by the Oregon State Beavers. The other two teams competing that weekend are New Mexico and Michigan State. Continue reading

College Baseball Daily has learned that Eastern Michigan will hire current Michigan State assistant coach Mark Van Ameyde as head coach. Van Ameyde joined the Spartans program in June 2008 as the pitching coach and was elevated as to Associate Head Coach in 2011. Before joining the Michigan State staff, he spent a season as an assistant at Eastern Michigan. He also has coaching stops at Georgetown and Detroit-Mercy. Continue reading
