LOWELL, Mass. – The America East Conference, the Lowell Spinners and the University of Massachusetts Lowell announced today that LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass., will host the America East Baseball Championship for the next four years from 2014-2017. FROM CBD NEWS SOURCE ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany baseball program has announced its 2014 season schedule, which will feature 56 games including a four-game series at Hawaii, and 18 home contests. Head Coach Jon Mueller will lead the Great Danes in his 15th season at the helm.
For the second straight year, the Great Danes will open up in Cary, N.C. at the USA Baseball Complex, Feb. 14-16. There, UAlbany will take on Canisius, St. Joseph’s, Butler, and Monmouth. Continue reading →

Following the series with Clemson, Maine plays 15 games in Florida before returning north for the always challenging America East Conference slate.

We continue the countdown today with number 76, Binghamton pitcher Mike Urbanski. In his sophomore season with the Bearcats, Urbanski made 16 relief appearances and finished with a 2-1 record. In 19 innings, the 6’4” right- hander gave up only 17 hits and struck out 16 batters, while posting a 4.74 ERA. The 2013 Bearcats staff was far from perfect but did show signs of promise down the stretch as they won the America East Conference Tournament. Urbanski led the team in appearances and his .243 batting average against was good for 5th on the staff. Continue reading →

The Burnaby, British Columbia native attended Burnaby Secondary school where he hit.390 as a senior with one home run and 38 RBI and as a junior, batted .333 with a home run and 29 RBI while being a member of the Canadian Junior National Team. The rain held out just long enough at Fiondella Field on Thursday, Sept. 8th for the Hawks to showcase their talent in front of Major League scouts. “It’s a great opportunity for our guys to get on the radar early”, said Head coach Justin Blood.
