Murray, the top quarterback recruit according to ESPN 300, has verbally committed to play college football for Texas A&M, but is also being touted as a potential first-round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft. Fullerton’s Phil Bickford leaves program

Rick-Vanderhook-is-not-happy-with-the-umpires-decision.-Photo-Shotgun-SpratlingAccording to a release from Cal State Fullerton baseball, RHP Phill Bickford has decided to leave the Titans program to continue his baseball career elsewhere. Bickford went 6-3 with a 2.13 ERA in 20 appearances including ten starts with Fullerton in the 2014 season. He spent the summer in the Cape Cod League with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox where he made 14 appearances (1 start) with a 1-1 record and an ERA of 2.25 while serving as the closer accumulating eight saves. 2014 NECBL All-Star Game Recap

NECBLLogo_thumb.jpgHOLYOKE, Mass. – In a fitting end for the battle between the best the NECBL has to offer, the North Division All-Stars celebrated a walk-off, 4-3 victory in front of 2,671 fans at Mackenzie Stadium, home of the host Valley Blue Sox.

The North started off the scoring in the first frame, as Laconia’s Vinny Zarillo led off with a single, reached third on an error, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Vermont’s Trey Amburgey. Continue reading
