CBD Scouting Spotlight: Adam Plutko (UCLA)

CBD Scouting Report: Kevin Ziomek (Vanderbilt)

KevinZiomekFeaturedVandyVanderbilt lefthander Kevin Ziomek was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week.

CBD Interview with Notre Dame’s Mik Aoki and Dan Slania

MikAokiFeaturedCollege Baseball Daily contributor Seth Bernstein recently caught up with Notre Dame head coach Mik Aoki after the Irish swept the Tulane Green Wave over the weekend to move their record to 5-1. They play this weekend in the Irish Baseball Classic in Cary, NC against UMass, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Rhode Island. Bernstein also catches up with Dan Slania who has two saves in three appearances while holding batters to a .133 batting average against. You can check out both audio interviews below. CBD Scouting Video: Colton Plaia (Loyola Marymount)

ColtonPlaiaLMUColton Plaia decided to return to Loyola Marymount after being selected in the 33rd round of the 2012 MLB daft because he wanted to continue to be a part of building the Loyola Marymount baseball program. In his final season, Colton is batting .321 with three doubles thru eight games. Defensively, Colton has thrown out five base runners in seven attempts. In a recent interview, Loyola Marymount head coach Jason Gill called Colton “the best catcher on the west coast.”
