MILB.com catches up with Danny Hultzen

MILB.com recently caught up with former Virginia pitcher Danny Hultzen who was the number two overall pick after posting a 1.37 ERA in 118 innings his junior year while leading the Cavaliers to the 2011 College World Series. Hultzen was selected in the 10th round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Diamondbacks but decided to head to college where he had an outstanding career with the Wahoos. CJ Hinojosa Talks Texas

As one of the top-ranked baseball prospects in the state of Texas, Klein Collins senior infielder C.J. Hinojosa was set to enroll at the University of Texas in January. However, despite signing a financial aid agreement with the Longhorns in October, Hinojosa will remain in high school for one more semester before heading to Texas next fall. MLB.com releases 2012 Top 50 Draft Prospects

MLB.com has put out their 2012 Top 50 Prospects. As I have been saying throughout the year, the 2012 college draft class is down with only 20 included on the list. Leading the draft class is Stanford RHP Mark Appel who had an outstanding summer with the USA National Team and in the Cape Cod Baseball League. The other two college players in the Top Five are Arizona State shortstop Deven Marrero at number 3 and Florida catcher Mike Zunino at number 5.
