The St. Petersburg Times is reporting that longtime St. Petersburg College baseball coach Dave Pano has resigned after offering an improper scholarship to a student-athlete. Coach Pano had accumulated a 392-180-1 over 13 seasons. In 2005, he led the school to its first state title and a second-place finish at the JUCO World Series.
