Florida State wins rivalry series vs Miami

The eleventh ranked Seminoles entered this weekend’s series against the Hurricanes as slight underdogs but quickly made a statement that they were ready to play. There is hardly ever an underdog when the Seminoles and Hurricanes get together, in any sport. College Baseball Daily Top 25 (April 14)

Another SEC team takes over the No. 1 spot in the College Baseball Daily Top 25 national rankings. Texas A&M is the fourth different team to garner the No. 1 position in the ranking this year, Vanderbilt, LSU and Florida were the previous SEC No. 1 teams.

College Baseball Daily Top 25 (March 30)

This week we see Vanderbilt regain their No. 1 position in the College Baseball Daily Top 25 rankings after a 3-1 week. Texas A&M played their way to the teams highest ranking this year at No. 2 and LSU dropped to No. 3 after a home series loss to Kentucky.

New additions to the CBD Top 25 include Coastal Carolina, Dallas Baptist and Nebraska.

CBD Visit: NC State and Miami Series Thoughts

 

16840041681_01d1626196_oThe Miami Hurricanes won their first series in the ACC in a series sweep of the NC State Wolfpack.

On Friday night in Coral Gables the College Baseball Daily Preseason Comeback Player of the Year pick, David Thompson walked it off in heroic fashion when he hit a leadoff home run over the left-field wall in the 10th inning that ended a thrilling ACC home opener and gave Miami the win, 3-2.
