Auburn and Alabama heading in Different Directions

This past Tuesday evening, the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide took a trip to meet in Montgomery at Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Rays AA minor league team, the Montgomery Biscuits. For years now, the two teams have met in March in a non-conference rival game called the Capital City Classic. Auburn won the contest 8-3 and advanced to 8-6 on the season, while Alabama’s record fell to 5-7. CBD Visit: Auburn opens up Fall Practice

The Auburn University baseball team began their first fall season practices on Wednesday, September 21st, with much anticipation and excitement for their future. After coming off a second straight SEC Tournament appearance in the 2011 season, the Tigers lost most of their starters to the MLB first-year player draft. While some may consider this a devastating loss for the team, the Tigers managed to recruit 17 newcomers–12 incoming freshman and 5 transfers–to pick up the slack. Read the rest of this entry »
