FORT WORTH – TCU baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced the 2017 schedule, which features 28 home games.

TCU’s 54-game slate will see the Horned Frogs play 23 road games in addition to three neutral-site contests. The schedule is highlighted by 16 games against 2016 postseason participants.

The Horned Frogs are coming off a third straight appearance in the College World Series and finished the 2016 campaign ranked. No. 3 nationally. Along the way, TCU claimed its second Big 12 Tournament championship.

Weekend series against Penn State (Feb. 17-19) and NCAA participant Arizona State (Feb. 24-26) highlight the first two weekends of the season. Mixed in is a midweek trip to UT Arlington (Feb. 21) and a home contest against another NCAA participant, Rice (Feb. 28).

TCU’s first weekend away from home takes it to Houston for the prestigious Shriner’s Hospitals for Children College Classic that has a Big 12/SEC Challenge spin this season. The three-day tournament starts March 3 when the Frogs take on NCAA Super Regional participant LSU. A rematch of the 2016 NCAA College Station Super Regional against Texas A&M is slated for Saturday, March 4. TCU concludes play in the Classic Sunday against another NCAA tournament team Ole Miss.

The Frogs return home briefly for a Tuesday, March 7 meeting against NCAA Regional qualifier Dallas Baptist, before jetting off to California for a four-game road trip. TCU will take on UC Irvine March 10-12 before wrapping up the trip with a midweek contest at NCAA Tournament participant Long Beach State (March 14).

Big 12 Conference play begins March17 when the Kansas Jayhawks come to Lupton Stadium for a three-game series. Following a Tuesday, March 21 trek to Abilene Christian, the Frogs will host College World Series participant Oklahoma State March 24-26.

A midweek series against UT Rio Grande Valley March 28-29 wraps up a five-game homestand.

TCU’s first conference road series comes at Kansas State March 31-April 2. The second of three meetings against UT Arlington follows on Tuesday, April 4.

The Frogs will take a break from conference play April 7-9 when it hosts Murray State.

TCU opens a four-game road trip Tuesday, April 11 at Dallas Baptist, followed by a three-game Big 12 series at West Virginia (April 14-16).

The Baylor Bears head to Fort Worth April 21-23 followed by Stephen F. Austin on April 25. The Frogs close out the month of April with a three-game series against defending Big 12 Champions and College World Series participant Texas Tech.

May starts with a Tuesday contest against Abilene Christian (May 2) followed by a three-game series against Texas (May 5-7). A trip to Oklahoma May 12-14 wraps up TCU’s conference schedule.

The final regular-season home game is slated for May 16 against UT Arlington, while the regular season concludes at Cal May 18-20.

The Big 12 postseason tournament is once again slated to take place in Oklahoma City at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, site of TCU’s last two tournament titles (2014, 2016). The tournament will run May 23-28.
