The Texas Tech Baseball team is being accused of throwing water and dirt at the TCU showgirls over the weekend. The Red Raiders head coach Tim Tadlock has denied the allegations and stated there was no dirt in the dugout. The girls were relocated to the TCU dugout for the rest of the game but the Big 12 is currently investigating the situation. There is supposed to be video of this incident between the two schools but if anyone has any of it, feel free to drop me an email by clicking here.

Artificial turf, yet they threw dirt? And watch any Tech dugout celebration and they squirt water bottles. And thus was never brought up until Sunday, after Tech wins the series.

I thought TCU was REAL grass and dirt now. They might have changed it.

You are correct. Real grass and dirt. No dirt in the dugouts though.

Yes, you are correct, my mistake. But the field has no dirt except on the infield. Therefore Tech players would have to grab dirt from the infield and carry it to the dugout for that part to be possible. As for the water, we always celebrate by spraying water, it’s called “watering the tree” and it is used as a motivator to spark a run scoring frenzy.

This is terribly embarrassing that y’all are giving this story any spotlight. No video, no evidence. A showgirl says it on Twitter so you give it validity. Incredibly sad for your website.

Oh and also the only website that doesn’t have Tech as a National Seed. Go figure. No wonder every other site has passed y’all in coverage of college baseball.

Weird. A FTW based newspaper. Did they post a video? Or just a tweet? Must be factual.

You said we were the only ones to report it which we clearly were not…There is an ongoing Big 12 investigation so this is a story in my book. If you disagree you are welcome to that but I believe it clearly is.

KD May 3, 2016 - 10:14 pm

No no–I said you were giving it a spotlight. Not that you ran the story. Maybe you just wait for the video or a Big 12 ruling before you post hearsay. That’s all I’m saying.

I said accused in the article. Didn’t say anything more than that.

The real issue is the fact that you got 30 young males with the opponent girls dancing in front of them at a baseball game. This type of stuff will happen and by making them dance in front of the visiting dugout is trying to create a distraction for the visiting players. The only people that should ever be in front of a visiting dugout are the players in the field playing the game. No reason to make a college baseball game to objectify women.

We can agree on that. As for the Big 12, I think Tech and TCU fans would agree their time would be better spent investigating the multiple rapes of Baylor football than water touching dancers in the middle of a baseball game.

Big 12 officially cleared Texas Tech of any wrongdoing. But I’m sure nobody will want to discuss that. Video provided by Texas Tech proved the allegations were incorrect. But we’ll never get an apology I’m sure.
