Gary McClure has resigned from Austin Peay according to a report from WSMV.com. According to sources, Derrick Dunbar will serve as the interim coach.

Longtime Austin Peay head coach Gary McClure was arrested on Friday evening for patronizing prostitution charge in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.

McClure went to the Huntco Drive address provided by the undercover officer and was arrested upon entering the room number the officer provided, according to the warrant.
On the warrant, he lists his place of employment as APSU.

McClure was named Austin Peay’s head baseball coach prior to the 1988 season and is the Ohio Valley Conference’s winningest baseball coach. He has a career record of 822-724-4.

A court date was set for 10:30 a.m., Aug. 14.
