CreightonBaseballOMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton baseball team announced its 2015 schedule, featuring 27 home games on Friday, Oct. 10. In addition the Bluejays will host the 2015 BIG EAST Tournament in late May.

Creighton opens 2015 with a little coast-to-coast travel, playing at Cal State Bakersfield (Feb. 13-15) then to Louisiana for back-to-back series at Northwestern State (Feb. 20-22) and at Tulane (Feb. 27 – March 1).

The home schedule begins on March 6-8 as Creighton welcomes Minnesota for a three game stretch.

Following two games at Kansas State (March 10 & 11), the Bluejays host Utah Valley (March 13-15) and play a single game with South Dakota State (March 17).

Creighton travel to 2012 CWS participant, Stony Brook, from March 20-22, then hosts Air Force (March 24 & 25) and Stetson (March 27-29).

The second month of the season is closed out with the first of three games with Nebraska on March 31 in Lincoln. The Huskers return to Omaha on April 14 & 28.

The BIG EAST schedule begins on the road in the nation’s capital as the Bluejays battle Georgetown (April 3-5), then look for a little revenge against Xavier at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha (April 10-12).

St. John’s makes its first trip to Omaha from April 17-19 and Creighton hosts the Omaha Mavericks in a single game on April 21.

Creighton faces Butler in Indianapolis from April 24-26, then has two midweek contests against the Huskers and at South Dakota State (April 29).

May begins with the final road trip of the season at Seton Hall (May 1-3), then Creighton closes out the regular season with Nevada (May 8-10), Arkansas (May 12) and Villanova (May 14-16).

The Bluejays host the BIG EAST Tournament at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha from May 21-24.

“We think we have a great home slate. Obviously Arkansas, Nebraska and Minnesota jump out, but Nevada, Utah Valley and Stetson are strong teams that we haven’t played in a long time,” said head coach Ed Servais. “Our non-conference road schedule also has some matchups were are excited about, traveling to Bakersfield and Tulane are the type of games that we hope will prepare us for the BIG EAST schedule as well as make us competitive at the end of the season from an RPI standpoint.”
