NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Commissioner Sean McGrath is pleased to unveil the rosters for the 2014 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star Game, as announced Sunday by the league office.

Sanford’s Aaron Izaryk and Plymouth’s Greg Zackrison, whose teams ranked first in the North and South Division, respectively, after the Friday (July 11) cut-off date will lead their respective divisions in next weekend’s showcase. It will be the first time managing the All-Star Game for either coach.

Each All-Star Team is comprised of nine slots for pitchers (starting pitcher, seven relievers, closer); a starter and two substitute catchers; a starter and substitute for the four remaining infield positions; a starter and substitute designated hitter; three starting outfielders and three reserve outfielders; and one Coach’s Selection by each manager for a total of 29 players per squad.

The 21st NECBL All-Star Game will be held Sunday, July 20, at MacKenzie Stadium, the home of the Valley Blue Sox, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Gates open at 12 p.m., and the afternoon begins with the league’s annual All-Star Game Skills Competition; first, the league’s top outfield arms will test their cannons in the Outfield Throwing Accuracy Contest, followed by the 60-Yard Dash.

Just after 2 p.m., the league’s top sluggers will tee off against the spacious dimensions of MacKenzie Stadium in the annual Home Run Derby before the skills competitions conclude with an awards ceremony at approximately 3:15 p.m. First pitch of the main event is schedule for approximately 5:05 p.m.

Tickets are available online via the Valley Blue Sox beginning at just $8 for adults and $5 for youths, seniors and military servicemen and servicewomen with valid military IDs.
