BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 9 Houston Baseball kept its season alive with a 9-5 win over Southeastern LA on Sunday afternoon in the Baton Rouge Regional at Alex Box Stadium and will now prepare to face (1) (8) No. 4 LSU in a must-win game to force a Monday Regional final.

With the win, the Cougars improved to 46-16 – now just two wins shy of tying the program record in wins at 48, which last happened in 2002.

Offensively, Houston worked Southeastern into six early errors, which led to seven early runs, which proved to be enough down the stretch. The Cougars tallied 12 hits, led by senior Frankie Ratcliff’s two-double play, which also resulted in two RBI.
