Gators Defeat Alabama to Win Ninth Straight SEC Game

Freshman right-hander Logan Shore threw six shutout innings to lead No. 12 Florida to a 7-3 victory over No. 20 Alabama on Friday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Sophomore Harrison Bader and junior Taylor Gushue drove in two runs apiece as the league-leading Gators (31-15/16-6 SEC) claimed their ninth-straight conference game by downing the Crimson Tide (30-16/13-9 SEC).

LSU Gets Extra Inning Win in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Centerfielder Andrew Stevenson doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning Friday night as fifth-ranked LSU edged Texas A&M, 5-4, at Blue Bell Park.

LSU, which has won 15 of its last 18 games, improved to 35-11-1 overall and 13-8-1 in the SEC. Texas A&M dropped to 28-19 overall and 10-12 in league play.

Cowboys Start Crucial Series With Win

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State recorded its fourth-straight win Friday night as the No. 9 Cowboys knocked off 26th-ranked Arizona State, 8-5, at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

With the victory, coach Josh Holliday’s ballclub improved to 33-13 on the season, which includes a 19-8 mark on their home field. It also marked the Cowboys’ 19th come-from-behind win of the year.

Mountaineers Use Early Runs to Defeat Longhorns

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Early-inning runs made the difference on Friday evening, as the WVU baseball team defeated No. 11 Texas, 5-3, in front of 1,552 fans at Hawley Field.
In what is the final series in the history of Hawley Field, the attendance figure ranked No. 3 all-time at the ballpark.
West Virginia improved to 25-16 overall and 8-7 within the Big 12 Conference. Texas fell to 33-14 overall and 10-9 in Big 12 play.

Ragin’ Cajuns Hold On For Close Win

JONESBORO, Ark. – Senior Ryan Wilson recorded his fifth save of the season and fourth in as many outings to give the Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team a 6-5 victory over Arkansas State in the series opener on Friday night at Tomlinson Stadium.

Wilson threw 2.1 scoreless innings in relief with three strikeouts and a walk and faced one over the minimum in the save.

The win in the fourth straight for Louisiana and moves the squad to 42-6 on the year and 19-3 in Sun Belt play. The Cajuns also improve to 18-1 on the road this season.
