During the 2013 summer, Gillaspie spent his time in the prestigious Cape Cod League where he was a member of the Falmouth Commodores. The rising junior proved to be a big bat for the Falmouth Commodores and proved that he has the talent to compete among the best in the nation.

Gillaspie led the CCBL in homeruns and was named to the league All-Star game where he competed for the West and contributed with double in the game. He returns to Wichita State for the 2014 season and will be a prospect to watch as the draft approaches.
