MichealConfortoOregonStateFeaturedCORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team will play 26 home games in 2014 to highlight the club’s schedule, which was announced on Wednesday.

Fans in the state of Oregon will have the opportunity to catch the team on 30 dates as the Beavers also have games scheduled in Eugene, Keizer and Portland.

The reigning Pac-12 Conference champions will stay in the footprint of the league in 2014, with all 56 regular season games slated to take place in either Oregon, Washington, California or Arizona.

The team will get comfortable in Arizona for the first two weeks of the season, visiting Tempe for a tournament hosted by Nebraska to open the season, then hosting the Pac-12/Big Ten Tournament in Surprise the following weekend. Oregon State opens the season Feb. 14 against Gonzaga, and follows that up with games against Nebraska and two against Pacific.

In Surprise, OSU is scheduled to square off with Michigan State, Nebraska and Indiana, whom the Beavers defeated 1-0 at the 2013 College World Series.

Oregon State’s home opener is slated for Feb. 28 against Wright State. The clubs are set for a four-game series, including a doubleheader on March 1. The Beavers follow that series up with a solo game against Portland at Goss Stadium and then a four-game set against Northern Illinois that begins March 7.

The Beavers’ final non-conference game before Pac-12 play opens is March 11 against Ohio State at home.

Oregon State’s conference opener is March 14 at Utah. OSU’s other conference series on the road are March 28-30 at Arizona, April 11-13 at Washington State, May 2-4 at California and May 23-25 at USC.

Oregon State’s Pac-12 home opener is March 21 against Arizona. The Beavers will also see Stanford (April 4-6), Oregon (April 25-27), UCLA (May 9-11) and Washington (May 16-18) at home.

Other non-conference games for the Beavers include two at Sacramento State (April 21-22), two at Oregon (May 6 and May 20), one at Portland (April 1), one against Portland in Keizer (May 13) and one against Seattle at Goss Stadium (March 25).

Selected Oregon State games will air on the Pac-12 Networks, with a full schedule to be released as the season draws closer. Please note that the above mentioned dates are subject to change.

The Beavers return four starting position players and two starting pitchers from last season’s club, which won a school-record 52 games and advanced to the College World Series for the fifth time in school history. OSU won its third league championship since the then-Pac-10 unified prior to the 1999 season. The team’s .800 winning percentage (24-6) in Pac-12 play was the best by a conference champion in nearly 20 years.
