Georgia Tech vs. Florida StateÂ
- In one of the most anticipated match-ups of the weekend, Georgia Tech and Florida State split a double-header to open the series. Buck Farmer was fantastic on the mound for Georgia Tech in game one giving up just two hits while striking out seven in his seven innings pitched. Florida State bounced back from the 10-0 loss with an 11-3 victory in game two of the double-header behind an excellent 6-RBI game at the plate by freshman DJ Stewart.

Auburn vs. LSU
- The LSU Tigers took game one of the series against Auburn in their conference home-opener. Aaron Nola picked up his third win of the year while striking out nine in 6.2 innings pitched. Offensively, a pair of home runs by Mason Katz and Raph Rhymes gave LSU the edge in game one, leading them to a 9-4 victory.
Final Score: Auburn 4 –  LSU 9
Florida vs. Vanderbilt
- The Florida Gators shocked the Commodores in Nashville 7-1 in game one of the series behind a fantastic performance at the plate by Taylor Gushue who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Vanderbilt ace Kevin Ziomek suffered his first loss of the season as his record on the mound dropped to 5-1.
Final Score: Florida 7 – Vanderbilt 1
Arkansas vs. South CarolinaÂ
- Barrett Astin picked up his second win of the season during his first Friday night start as Arkansas defeated South Carolina 15-3 in Columbia. The entire top half of the Razorback order saw multiple hits in the victory, including a home run by Brian Anderson and 5 RBI by Tyler Spoon, while not a single Gamecock was allowed multiple hits.
Final Score: Arkansas 15 – South Carolina 3
Arizona State vs. Oregon State
- Matt Boyd threw a brilliant complete game one hitter to shutout ASU 5-0 in the Friday night series opener. Boyd struck out a career-high eleven batters on the night while becoming the first pitcher to one-hit Arizona State since 1983.
Final Score: Arizona State 0 – Oregon State 5
Mississippi State vs. Kentucky
- The dynamic duo of Adam Frazier and Hunter Renfroe came up clutch yet again for the Bulldogs, as they combined to go 5-for-9 with three RBI and four runs in the 8-4 Mississippi State victory. Ross Mitchell earned the win after pitching four innings of relief, as he improved to a record of 5-0 on the mound.
Final Score: Mississippi State 8 – Kentucky 4
Rutgers vs. Louisville
- The 7-10 Rutgers Scarlet Knights shocked the 18-3 Louisville Cardinals Friday night in a 6-2 victory to open Big East play. Nick Favatella, Vinny Zarrillo and Lou Clemente all had three hits for the Scarlet Knights in the conference-opener. Rob Smorol earned the win after striking out four in seven innings pitched.
Final Score: Rutgers 6 – Louisville 2
Arizona vs. Oregon
- Last year’s College World Series champion Arizona Wildcats have fallen to 0-4 in conference play as they dropped game one of the weekend series at Oregon. In what was ultimately a very competitive ball game, Jimmie Sherfy picked up his seventh save of the season as the Ducks defeated the Wildcats 2-1.
Final Score: Arizona 1 – Oregon 2
TCU vs. Oklahoma
- In what is now the Sooners’ fifth walk-off win of the season, Oklahoma defeated TCU 3-2 in 12 innings on Friday night. Max White scored on a pass ball to lead the Sooners to victory. Additionally, junior Matt Oberste extended his hitting streak to 27 games, tying the program record.
Final Score: TCU 2 – Oklahoma 3 (12 innings)
