Kyle Davis delivers.LOS ANGELES — Oklahoma ace Dillon Overton was hit around for 13 hits and five runs as the No. 17 Sooners were upset by USC 5-3 Friday night at Dedeaux Field.

USC junior lefty Bobby Wheatley allowed only one earned run as he beat Overton, one of the premier southpaw pitchers in the nation. Wheatley was supported by senior infielder Adam Landecker. After missing the last week with a hamstring injury, Landecker had three hits and four RBI in his return.

Oklahoma took a 3-1 lead with two runs in the fourth and a run in the fifth, but the Trojans responded with a Kevin Swick RBI single. With two outs in the sixth inning, USC strung together four consecutive singles with Landecker driving in two runs to put USC up 4-3.

Landecker added his fourth RBI with a two-out single in the eighth inning to push across an insurance run for Nigel Nootbaar, who pitched the final two innings for his first career save.

For USC, senior Greg Zebrack had two hits and scored two runs while freshmen Blake Lacey and Timmy Robinson both recorded multi-hit performances as well.
