HYANNIS, Mass. – Most Valuable Player Phil Ervin (Samford), Top Pitcher and Outstanding Pro Prospect Sean Manaea (Indiana St.) and Batting Champion Patrick Biondi (Michigan) top the list of players selected to the Cape Cod Baseball League Post-Season All-League Team.

Starring in the outfield for the Eastern Division Champion Harwich Mariners, Ervin was one of the top players in the league, batting .323 with 11 home runs and 31 RBI, while Manaea was pitching ace for Hyannis, posting a 5-1 record with a league-leading 85 strikeouts and a sparkling 1.22 ERA.

Biondi was a fleet outfielder for Western Division champion Cotuit who led the league with a .388 batting average, finishing 38 points ahead of Kettleers’ teammate Daniel Aldrich (Charleston), who hit .350 and also named All-League.

Joining Ervin, Biondi and Aldrich in the outfield are sportsmanship award winner Zak Blair (Mercyhurst) of Yarmouth-Dennis and Playoff MVP Kyle Schwarber (Indiana) of the league champion Wareham Gatemen.

The flame-throwing Manaea is joined by All-League pitchers Jarrett Arakawa (Hawaii) and Kyle Crockett (Virginia) of Orleans, Chad Green (Louisville) of Bourne, Sam Moll (Memphis) and Tom Windle (Minnesota) of Brewster, Craig Schlitter (Bryant) of Falmouth, Michael Wagner (San Diego) of Chatham, Kevin Ziomek (Vanderbilt) and Aaron Blair (Marshall) of Cotuit, who led the league with a 1.17 ERA.

The All-League infield consists of first baseman Conrad Gregor (Vanderbilt), of Orleans, second baseman Tony Kemp (Vanderbilt) of Cotuit, shortstop Alex Blandino (Stanford) of Y-D and third baseman Tyler Horan (Virginia Tech) of Wareham, who tied the modern era wood bat record of 16 home runs and finished second in the league with 40 RBI.

Utility infielders include Drew Dosch (Youngstown St.) of Falmouth and Sam Travis (Indiana) of Yarmouth-Dennis, while designated hitters are RBI champion (42) Colin Moran (North Carolina) of Bourne, Daniel Palka of Wareham and Robert Pehl (Washington) of Y-D.

All-League catchers are Mitchell Garver (New Mexico) of Hyannis and Andrew Knapp (California-Berkley) of Chatham, while Cotuit’s Ryan Connolly (Coastal Carolina) and Russ Ford Award winner Dan Slania (Notre Dame), who was 2-0 with a 1.52 ERA and 10 saves, were top closers.

Power-hitting Eric Jagielo (Notre Dame) of Harwich and Cole Sturgeon (Louisville) of Wareham were top utility players
