Bourne Braves 3, Hyannis Harbor Hawks 2

John Farrell (William & Mary) was the winning pitcher in the Bourne Braves’ 3-2 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. The Braves scored in three consecutive innings after striking first in the fifth, and were led by left fielder Mike Ahmed (Holy Cross), as he had four hits and one RBI on the night. The loss went to Matt Maurer (Medford, OR) after only giving up four hits and two earned runs.

Falmouth Commodores 4, Harwich Mariners 2

The Falmouth Commodores topped the Harwich Mariners 4-2 at the Arnie Allen Diamond. The winning pitcher for the Commodores was Marco Gonzales (Gonzaga University) and the loss went to Dimitri Kourtis (Mercer University) after he gave up seven hits and four earned runs. Outfielder Jared King (Kansas State University) led the way for the Commodores, as he had three hits and scored two runs on the night.

Orleans Firebirds 6, Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 5

Center fielder Jay Gonzalez (Auburn University) had his first three hits of the season and scored two runs as the Orleans Firebirds topped the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 6-5 at Eldredge Park. Chase Johnson (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) was the winning pitcher on the night after giving up only one hit and no earned runs. The loss went to Johnny Hoffman (Indiana University) after giving up three hits and two earned runs.

Cotuit Kettleers 3, Chatham Anglers 0

Pitcher Ryan Connolly (Charleston, SC) led the Kettleers to a 3-0 win over the Chatham Anglers after only giving up two hits and no earned runs. Outfielder Patrick Biondi (Woodhaven, MI) led the Kettleers with two hits, one RBI and scored one run on the night. The loss went to pitcher Kurt Schluter (Stetson University) after giving up six hits and one earned run.

Wareham Gatemen 6, Brewster Whitecaps 4

Clay Champman (Florida Southern) got the win as the Wareham Gatemen beat the Brewster Whitecaps 6-4 at Spillane Field. Kyle Schwarber (Indiana University) gave the Gatemen an initial lead with an RBI double in the first inning followed by an RBI double by Daniel Palka (Georgia Tech) to increase the lead to 2-0 and the Gatemen never lost the advantage.
