Wow Brian…You really do have a grudge against Virginia after BOC’s comments last year don’t you?  UVA has won 15 straight home games including sweeps of Wake and Clemson, while UNC is coming off a sweep at Miami, and you still can’t bring yourself to pick UVA in even one game.

The U is on a much different level then Wake Forest and Clemson. IIRC Wake Forest had leads in each game against UVA before losing. I believe UNC is a better squad then UVA right now. Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

WF did indeed lead each game.  Fortunately, baseball games are longer than 1 inning and UVA managed to win by scores of 9-4, 4-1 and 11-2.  I could point out all the games that UVA led and lost to good teams, but that would be rather pointless.  Of course WF at least managed to win a game at UNC.  I also forgot to mention that UNC is without their best hitter in Moran all weekend.  Just find it odd that you would pick the ranked home team to get swept if you’re truly looking at it objectively.

I know Moran is out..just a prediction and still don’t think UVA is a Super Regional team this year.. Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

Anyways, UVA fans are still unhappy that my prediction of them not being on the same level as Florida, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina became true last season!

Yes, congratulations on that pick.  USC beat us once soundly and then came out on top in a marathon game.  We never got to play Vandy or Fla, so who knows.  I hope you will admit that 2 games, one of which went to extra innings doesn’t equate to one team “not being on the same level” as 3 teams, 2 of whom that team never even faced.

FWIW, I have no objection to you stating your opinion on the radio.  I think that you need to have a thicker skin when the coach of the team you criticized rationally counters that argument.  I also think you are letting that episode cloud your judgement of this year’s team.

O’Connor has zero right to say anything about what I have or not seen. Did he know that my staff of reporters had seen all four of those squads in person? Nope…but again, it is a good clip for you guys to bring up.
FYI, everyone has an opinion so who cares what anyone says. O’Connor needs to have a thicker skin… Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

That actually wasn’t the point as I recall.  I think the point was that you were drawing conclusions after having seen (or your staff I guess) each team a few times throughout the season.  Thus, it isn’t really possible to say who the better team is.  Question for you to consider…how many UVA games have you seen this season on TV or in person to claim with some degree of confidence that they aren’t a super regional team?

3 games I have seen personally and I have had another person see them 3 times… Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

And if you had seen the FSU and NC State series you would think we were mediocre, or if you had seen the Wake and Clemson series you would think we were the best team in the ACC.  That was the point he was trying to make.

He questioned my integrity which is inexcusable. He has no clue what I had or hadn’t seen. I have been running this site a decent amount of time and covered several NCAA tournaments in different sports so I know what I am doing when I say something.
