Is Matt Grimes injured for Georgia Tech, or is Georgia Tech still trying to find the “right” three starting pitchers for the weekend rotation?  Also, I’m curious about the Clemson predictions.  Is Clemson’s offense that bad, or, is it a situation where the bats just have not heated up yet?

Mark, Grimes is out with an arm injury and his return date has not been announced. Luke Bard has entered the rotation and has done a nice job as a starter, allowing just 1 earned in each of his starts.

Clemson is looking for consistent play, a few of the Tigers’ returning starters have posted a similar or increase in production from last year, but only a few. Some have yet to find the hot bat, but last year Clemson was a team that did not play its best until the second half of the ACC before a Regional collapse. I don’t know if they are going to perform in the second half with the same record they did last year, but I think some of the bats that have struggled will begin to come around with a little more power.

Is Matt Grimes still out with an injury? What’s his status?
