CBD Journal with Western Illinois (March 20th)

This past weekend we went to St. Louis to take on St. Louis University and Air Force. I’m going to speak for the whole team and say both games were disappointing. Intensity was one thing we lacked during this weekend. We need to keep our intensity up the whole game and not let the opposing team have a chance at winning.

The season has had some ups and downs but we must move past that. From here on out we must have a winning mentality. We must keep the same intensity from the first pitch of the game to the last pitch. If we win each inning of every game the results will be in our favor.

Each player has a job that needs to be done in order to be successful. We need guys to step in and fill that role when it is their time. The whole team must give it their best effort and can’t be afraid of failure. We need to keep the pressure on the other team because eventually they will fail.

This week we play St. Louis University on Tuesday and host Xavier in a 3 game series this weekend. If we come out with great intensity and compete right away then we will be successful.
