CBD Journal with Western Illinois (Feb. 8th)

With only two weeks left until the season starts we are getting very excited for the upcoming season. All of the freshmen are from the area so we never had the opportunity to play outside until late March. Going down south to play in mid-February will be a really great experience.

This past week we have been lucky with the nice weather, which has allowed us to practice outside. Being able to pitch, hit and field outside rather than in a crowded gym will help us a lot when we go to Atlanta for the first games with Georgia State. Being able to simulate game situations outside will be an advantage that this team has not had in previous seasons. Who would have thought it would be 60 degrees in early February.

The entire Purple Army is working hard each day to get better and everyone is excited for the upcoming season.
