College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 5 with Georgia Southern junior outfielder Victor Roache. The Ypsilanti, Michigan native attended Lincoln High School. He was a two time captain of the squad while being named All-Region and First Team All-State. He was selected in the 25th round by the Detroit Tigers in the 2009 MLB Draft but decided to attend Georgia Southern.Â
As a freshman in 2010, he appeared in 47 games hitting .252 with eight home runs and 38 RBIs. He had a slugging percentage of  .464 and posted a OPS of .872.
He had a breakout season as a sophomore in 2011 hitting .326 with 30 homers and 80 RBI while starting all 62 games for the Eagles. His 30 homers were the top in the country.
He spent the summer of 2011 in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Cotuit Kettleers. He finished the summer playing in 43 games hitting .309 with six homers and 28 RBI.
