Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University Head Baseball Coach Patrick Anderson has resigned his position for personal reasons it was announced today by Director of Athletics Jack Hayes.

“I want to thank Coach Anderson for his efforts over the past three years as the head baseball coach,” said Hayes. “We appreciate his commitment and wish him well.”

Assistant Coach John Russo, who has been on the staff for the last three seasons, has been named the interim head coach and will assume all responsibilities for the baseball program.

“As I am looking forward to my future endeavors, I will miss my players, staff and the people I grew to know and work with at Hofstra,” said Anderson. “The program is left in great hands and I am excited for Hofstra Baseball’s future.”
