College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 15 with Southern Utah senior Bo Cuthbertson. The Glendale, Arizona native attended Cactus High School where he was a four year letter winner. As a senior, he recorded a .418 average with one home run, two doubles, four triples and 16 stolen bases. He finished his career with a .380 average, one home run, 30 doubles and 30 stolen bases He was also a two-time first-team all-region and honorable mention all-state honoree and a three-time participant at the Arizona state high school all-star game.
As a freshman, he appeared in 38 games with 31 starts leading the Thunderbirds with a .393 batting average with 53 hits on the season, including 11 doubles and three triples while recording 11 RBI. He was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American.
In 2010, he started in 52 games while hitting .344 including a .384 mark in Summit League games. He led the team with 77 hits, 50 runs scored and six triples while hitting four home runs and drove in 29 RBI.  He was named first team All-Summit League for his performance.
Last season, he had one of the best years in school history by having the third highest single season batting average (.432), the third most hits (83), as well as the second highest total in doubles (20) and triples (7) in school history. His batting average was also the fifth best mark in the nation and he was also among the nation’s leaders in triples, slugging percentage (.688) and on base percentage (.496). Cuthbertson also recorded 51 runs, 47 RBI, 27 walks, 15 stolen bases, five homeruns and four sacrifice flies on the year. He was named Summit League Player of the Year as well as a spot on the Louisville Slugger All-America Baseball Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association Midwest All-Region Second Team.

Any word on why Cuthbertson was released from Yarmouth Dennis this summer after only 6 games? Injury or just too many infielders?
