2012 ACC Baseball Television Deal Announced

As part of ESPN’s new 12-year agreement with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), ESPNU plans to televise nine consecutive weeks of ACC Olympic sporting events on Mondays at 7 p.m. during the spring of 2012 including six baseball games, two softball games and the women’s lacrosse championship. SEC Changes Baseball Tournament Format For 2012

Owners of Brockton Rox Looking At Futures Collegiate League Team
UPDATED 1:01pm: Futures League commissioner Chris Hall responded to my request for comment, saying: “We hope the Brockton Rox will be a member of the FCBL for the 2012 Season and beyond. Campanelli Stadium would be the crown jewel of stadiums in all of Summer Collegiate Baseball. We feel that the Summer Collegiate model works well with former professional franchises and the city of Brockton would benefit from such model.”
ORIGINAL REPORT: On Saturday, the Brockton (MA) Enterprise reported that the Brockton Rox, the city’s Can-Am baseball franchise, would be sitting out the 2012 season due to financial issues. Notre Dame releases 2012 Schedule

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame baseball team’s 2012 schedule will include early-season trips to Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana along with BIG EAST road series at USF, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Villanova and Connecticut.
Notre Dame’s four BIG EAST home series will include games versus Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, St. John’s and Rutgers. The Irish home slate will feature midweek games against traditional non-conference rivals, most notably Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Northwestern. Mystic out of the NECBL?
The Mystic Schooners of the NECBL moved before last season from Bristol CT to Fitch High School in Groton Connecticut. St. John’s Announces Schedule For 2012 Baseball Season

QUEENS, N.Y. – Head baseball coach Ed Blankmeyer has officially announced the schedule for the 2012 season, his 17th season at the helm of the Red Storm. The 56-game slate includes 24 home games and features the fourth annual Big Ten-BIG EAST Challenge as well as a total of 11 games against six teams that participated in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
