St. Petersburg Head Coach Rob Francis Arrested in Child Sex Sting

Current St. Petersburg College head baseball coach Rob Francis was arrested as part of a Child Sex Sting in Orlando according to a report in The Orlando Sentinel. Francis has previously served as the director of baseball operations at Ole Miss from 2008-2010 seasons.

According to the report,

Francis, 31, is accused of sending nude photographs of himself to an undercover deputy posing as a teen-age girl in an Internet chat room. He drove to Orlando after the conversation with the intent to have sex with the girl, according to an arrest report.

Francis faces two felony charges of obscene communication and transmission of harmful material to a minor via an electronic device. He is being held on a $5,150 bond at the Orange County Jail.

The school has place Francis on administrative leave after the charges surfaced on Wednesday.
