College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 68 with Stanford sophomore infielder Brian Ragira. The Arlington, Texas native attended James Martin Senior High School where he played three years of varsity baseball. As a senior, he was a two way player hitting .358 with a .479 on-base percentage and .632 slugging percentage including eight doubles and six homers while driving in 35 runs.Â
Ragira stepped right into the Stanford lineup as a freshman starting 54 games at first base, playing in 56 games overall. He finished the season with a .329 batting average scoring 31 runs and a team-high 46 RBI. He also scored 31 runs and a had seven doubles, a team-best five triples and team-tying four homers. Brian was recognized as  Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, honorable mention All-Pac-10 and a first team Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America.
He spent the summer of 2011 with the USA Collegiate National Team serving as an alternate. He ended up going 2-for-9 with two runs in five games.
