TCU releases 2012 Schedule

Oregon State releases 2012 Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team announced its 2012 schedule on Monday, which features 24 home dates and a 56-game slate.

Rhode Island releases 2012 Schedule

KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island baseball head coach Jim Foster has released his club’s 2012 schedule. Rhody’s slate is highlighted by a trip to Nashville for a three-game set with Vanderbilt, which was just credited with the nations top recruiting class. Top 100 Countdown: 81. Jason Coats (TCU)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 81 with TCU senior outfielder Jason Coats. The Plano, Texas native attended Plano West High School picking up three letters. As a senior, he had a .450 batting average with a .950 slugging percentage and nine home runs. He was able to help lead the team to a 28-0 record and a 5A state championship. He picked up several honors including being named the MVP of the Texas North/South All-Star game and first team all-state.  Read the rest of this entry »

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Brown struck for three runs in the first inning and never looked back, clinching the annual Brown & Gold series with a 10-5 win in decisive Game 3. Oklahoma releases 2012 Schedule

NORMAN, Okla. — University of Oklahoma Vice President/Athletics Director Joe Castiglione and head coach Sunny Golloway released the Sooners’ 2012 baseball schedule consisting of 56 regular season games on Monday.

The Sooners will host 30 games at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, including Big 12 series with Texas, Kansas State, Missouri and Baylor and non-conference games with Air Force, Oral Roberts, Arkansas, Dallas Baptist and TCU. Read the rest of this entry »

We continue the countdown today at number 82 with North Carolina’s Tommy Coyle. The Chalfont, Pennsylvania native attended Germantown Academy where he earned all conference in each of his four seasons. He was named 2009 preseason Louisville Slugger All-American while graduating as Germantown’s all-time hits leader. He help lead team to 2008 Pennsylvania Independent Schools State Title. Rhode Island:  Keaney 3 Navy 2

Darkness forced the suspension of Game Two in the Keaney-Navy World Series on Friday evening, but when play resumed on Saturday, sophomore Joe Landi scored on redshirt junior Pat Fortunato’s single up the middle to give Keaney the 3-2 win, as well as its fifth consecutive KNWS title. CBD Visit: Cal State Fullerton vs Vanderbilt

The Cal State Fullerton Titans and Vanderbilt Commodores faced off on Saturday and Sunday in two intersquad scrimmages. The Titans won game 1 on Saturday 10-8 and on Sunday the Titans completed the sweep with a come from behind 9-3 victory in game 2.
