San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State Athletic Department released the 2012 baseball schedule on Wednesday, revealing a 54 game slate that features 25 games at Bobcat Ballpark, 28 away games and one neutral site contest. Top 100 Countdown: 97. Brian Holmes (Wake Forest)
College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today with number 97 junior Wake Forest LHP Brian Holmes. He is from Lawrenceville, Georgia and was a two year letterwinner at Mill Creek High School. Kansas Baseball Unveils 2012 Schedule

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas baseball, with 10th-year head coach Ritch Price, announced its 2012 schedule on Wednesday. The Jayhawks’ 56-game schedule includes 21 games at Hoglund Ballpark, including home contests with traditional rivals Wichita State (April 10), Kansas State (April 25) and Missouri (May 17-19).

Casey Underwood, an assistant baseball coach at Snead State Community College, was arrested after an incident with basketball player Orlandis Hill outside of the school’s gym. We continue the countdown today with Notre Dame sophomore first baseman Trey Mancini who checks in at the 98th spot on our Top 100. He is from Winter Haven, Florida where he attended Winter Haven High School. He played three years of baseball under head coach David Saliba. His senior year saw him hit .480 with 23 runs scored, 10 doubles, six home runs and 31 RBI. He was selected to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Baseball All-Star Game. North Carolina: Navy 0 Blue 0
Chapel Hill, N.C.- Dominant pitching was the theme of Tuesday afternoon’s scrimmage as Navy and Blue fought to a 0-0 tie in a contest that lasted eight and one-half innings. Tate Parrish and Chris O’Brien threw for Navy while Hobbs Johnson and George Carter were on the mound for Blue. University of Cincinnati Announces 2012 Schedule
