TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In the first live action of the fall baseball season, the Florida State Seminoles defeated the Ontario Blue Jays 18-3 in a 14-inning exhibition game Monday afternoon on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium.
“It was a good experience for our young guys and certainly a good experience for the Canadians,” said head coach Mike Martin. “We enjoyed playing them and hopefully we can do it again next year.
“A game like this does our guys a lot of good. We need situations like this to make us better. It gives us a little break before the Garnet & Gold game.”
