Dean Stiles Completes Oregon Coaching Staff

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach George Horton announced today that Dean Stiles has been appointed the program’s volunteer assistant coach.
Stiles returns to the Oregon program after spending the 2011 season as the head coach at Lane Community College in Eugene. The Titans finished the year with a 26-20 overall record, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Tournament after earning the playoff spot by way of a second place finish in the West Division with a 19-11 record. DURHAM, N.C.–The Southeastern Conference, which has produced college baseball’s last three national champions, dominated Baseball America’s top prospects lists for 20 college summer leagues and Team USA, which have been released at BaseballAmerica.com. The SEC leads all conferences with 24 players on the lists, followed by the Pacific-12 (22 players), the Big 12 (18 players) and the Atlantic Coast (17). Purdue promotes Tristan McIntyre to Pitching Coach

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue baseball alumnus Tristan McIntyre has been promoted from volunteer assistant to full-time status and will work with the program’s pitching staff, head coach Doug Schreiber has announced.

American University’s Stephen Lumpkins was a 13th round selection in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals in 2011.
Interesting enough, Lumpkins hasn’t played baseball in the last two years since American doesn’t have a baseball program. The 6-8 225 pounder spent the last three years as a member of the basketball program averaging 13.5 points and finishing second in the Patriot League with 8.2 rebounds per game.
