Here is a listing of Weekend College Baseball scrimmages that took place. Iowa took on future Division 1 opponent Omaha-Nebraska in the only intercollegiate matchup while North Carolina held two intrasquad scrimmages.

Cincinnati Welcomes Alex Massengill To Bearcat Family

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team has adopted 10-year-old cancer survivor Alexander Massengill as an honorary teammate through The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, head coach Brian Cleary announced Wednesday.

URI Participates in Southern New England Autism Walk

KINGSTON, R.I. - On Sunday, Sept. 18, the Rhode Island baseball team took part in the 2011 Southern New England Walk Now for Autism Speaks event, held at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. It marked the fifth consecutive year that the Rams participated in the walk.

Monmouth Baseball Announces Coaching Changes

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University head baseball coach Dean Ehehalt has announced changes to his coaching staff for the 2012 season. Jimmy Belanger, who has been the pitching coach for the past two years, has added the role of recruiting coordinator, while Rick Oliveri joins the staff as an assistant coach. Georgetown adds 2 Coaches

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Baseball Coach Pete Wilk announced the addition of two coaches to his staff, with Grant Achilles taking over as an assistant coach and Mike Landry joining the program as a volunteer assistant coach.

Liberty releases 2012 Schedule
The Liberty baseball team has released its 2012 schedule, which includes 11 games against 2011 NCAA Regional qualifiers and contests at 2011 College World Series participants, Virginia and North Carolina.
